About O'Grady & O'Neill

Our firm, O’Grady & O’Neill Solicitors was established in 2007 by the then firm partners Carmel O’Grady and the late Grainne O’Neill. Grainne later went on to be appointed to the District Court bench and sadly passed away far too young in 2018.

The firm was originally opened in Athlone and in 2012 Carmel opened offices in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon. The firm now operates primarily from the Strokestown office but also has ongoing presence and appointment facilities at their offices in Athlone.

O’Grady & O’Neill is a very experienced firm of Solicitors with Carmel O’Grady having qualified as a Solicitor in 1992. Having worked with a firm of Solicitors in Galway, Carmel then moved to Athlone and worked with a firm in Athlone for a long number of years before setting up independent private practice in 2007.

Carmel’s primary areas of interest and focus in legal practice are within the areas of Wills, Trusts and Administration of Estates along with Property and Conveyancing dealing primarily with buying and selling of houses, farms, transfers of sites, bank mortgages and leasing.
